PLAN of Maryland-D.C. (Planned Lifetime Assistance Network) provides case management services for a fee. PLAN was founded in 1986 by NAMI families who have loved ones with mental illness. Its objective is to take over many of the services that family members have been trying to provide. PLAN helps now, and assures continued help after parents are gone, become disabled themselves, or simply are "burned out".
