The 25th Annual
Statewide Conference

NAMI Maryland: Families and
Communities Coming Together

Thursday, November 1, 2007

Keynote address

Dr. John Sullivan, President of The Institute for Family Centered Services

Dr. Sullivan offers a perspective of 30 years experience working with families and individuals who have not had their needs met by the normal array of services and treatment philosophies. His primary focus has always been on developing and implementing alternative or innovative programs, with the goal of assisting those consumers who have been labeled as resistant or non -responsive to traditional interventions. He has continually crossed the usual professional barriers to serve consumers with any combination of physical disabilities, mental health issues, behavioral problems, developmental challenges, substance abuse, as well as the terminally ill.
