NAMI Maryland (NAMI MD), formerly called the Alliance for the Mentally Ill
of Maryland, is an advocacy organization for family and friends of people with serious
mental illness, and people who have a mental illness. We provide information and referrals
to appropriate services such as family self-help support groups and mental health services
for persons with serious mental illness and their family members.
We are affiliated with NAMI which has over
1,000 local affiliates and 50 state organizations throughout the United States and Canada.
